General Provisions

The student understands that the IFCE Certified Coach Training Program is aligned with the International Coaching Federation’s approach to coaching (ICF). As an ICF-aligned training program, our coaching philosophy and instruction are based on the ICF’s definition of coaching – “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”

The student understands that the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics are foundational to our program and inform our instructional approach. Students are expected to ground their unique coaching style and approach in these foundational documents while participating in our program.

The student acknowledges that coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association.  The student understands that coaching is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, or substance abuse treatment and will not use it in place of treatment or therapy.

The student understands that IFCE Instructors are not qualified to provide financial, health, and/or legal advice to the student and that coaching is not a substitute for professional advice by legal, medical, financial, business or other qualified professionals.  The student will refer any medical, legal, tax or business related questions to a qualified professional at their discretion

The student agrees to indemnify and hold the IFCE and its instructors harmless against all claims, suits, demands, liabilities, losses, damages or injuries which may be made or experienced by any person or entity (including 3rd parties) that arise as a result of this Agreement, with the exception of breaches to this Agreement.
